Kayla Savoie-Penton
My name is Kayla Savoie-Penton. I’m an international student from Calgary, Alberta, Canada currently in my senior year at the University of Idaho, pursuing a degree in Medical Sciences with a minor in Pre-Health Studies. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree I hope to attend medical school and obtain my doctorate in osteopathic medicine. I hope to one day be able to practice either family or emergency medicine in rural communities. I believe that working in Dr. Luckhart’s lab allows me gain valuable experience in the roles that the laboratory contributes to medicine, including various laboratory techniques, while gaining knowledge about a global health disease and its varying effects on global public health.
